Bradford (Brad) Bernstein, a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Brooklyn Law School represents the second generation to oversee the Law Offices of Spar & Bernstein, P.C. Having joined the firm in 1993, and becoming partner in 1997, Brad assumed leadership when Harry Spar retired in 2000.
Brad has over twenty-five years of experience fighting on behalf of the rights of immigrants. Brad knows too well that immigrant rights means more than a favorable ruling before a Judge. In addition to legal bureaucratic hoops newcomers are asked to jump through, immigrants often face discrimination and violations of their social and civil liberties outside the courtroom. Wanting to address the multi-faceted sets of issues, Brad took to the radio waves of New York’s Tri-State area radio station WVIP (93.5 FM) in 1999 and hosted a daily one-hour radio show devoted to helping immigrants, lawful residents, and newly minted citizens. There, Brad answered legal questions posed from all over the United States for free, and effortlessly explained court rulings and other immigrant related news and issues that deeply affected the population. Following a successful run of eighteen years on the radio, Brad has since taken to the digital space hosting a two-hour daily new media show.
